Day One & Two
Depart to Cairo. Arrive in Cairo in the evening.


Day Three
Fly this morning to Aswan in southern Egypt. Then,  drive out in the desert to see the greatest monument in Egypt, Abu Simbel. This was the first site on earth listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This great temple, dedicated to Ramesses was hewn out of the rock to the depth of 210 feet! Overwhelming! Upon arrival back in Aswan board our ship to begin our 3-night Nile River Cruise with a visit to the High Dam and the Phaile temple. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.

Day Four
Continue up the Nile River to visit the the most preserved temple in Egypt, Temple of Edfu by a horse-carrigae. Back to our ship sailing to Kom Umbo. Lunch on board. Arrival Kom Umbo and a visit to the temple of Kom Umbo. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day Five
Cross to the West bank of Luxor where we will see the Valley of the Kings, the temple of Hatshepsut and the colossi of Memnon. Return back to the East bank viewing the beautiful temples of Karnak. Lunch on board. Sailing via Esna Lock to Edfu viewing a breath-taking scenery.. arrival Edfu for Dinner and overnight.

Day Six
Fly back to nearby Cairo. Nearby visit the oldest pyramid complex of the ancient world, the step pyramid of Sakkara. Lunch and a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza. This is the only surviving wonder of the ancient world. With the ancient Sphinx protecting the Great Pyramids, one can only imagine the overwhelming effort to construct these glorious monuments of man.

Day Seven
After breakfast you will have an experience to remember, by visiting the largest archaeological museum in the world. Next is the Grand Egyptian Museum opened in October 2024 hosting over 100,000 artifacts from acnient Egypt and is the world's largest archeological museum. The museum holds 18,000 artifacts. The main attraction will be the first exhibition of the full tomb collection of King Tutankhamun.

Day Eight
We will visit the Ancient capital of Upper Egypt, Memphis. View the great alabaster figure of Ramesses and the Alabaster Sphinx. Nearby visit the oldest pyramid complex of the ancient world, the step pyramid of Saqqara.

Day Nine
Situated on the summit of the citadel, this Ottoman mosque, the largest to be built in the first half of the 19th century, is, with its animated silhouette and twin minarets, the most visible mosque in Cairo. The mosque was built in memory of Tusun PashaMuhammad Ali's eldest son, who died in 1816.

This afternoon visit one of the largest bazaars in the Middle East at the Old Town Market. There are hundreds of packed stalls to barter at.

Day Ten
Depart from Cairo for your flights back to the USA where you will arrive this same day.​

Day Ten
Fly from Cairo to Amman in the morning. Enjoy a city tour of Amman, the capital of Jordan and offers a blend of ancient history and modern life.

Day Eleven

Visit the city of Madaba, known for its stunning mosaics, located 30 minutes south of Amman on the King's Highway. The main attraction is the Greek Orthodox Basilica of St. George, also referred to as the Church of the Map, which features a well-preserved mosaic map of the region of Jordan, Palestine, and Egypt. Next, travel to Mount Nebo, believed to be the resting place of Moses. The mountain overlooks the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, West Bank, and Jerusalem and features a Byzantine Church built in the 4th century to commemorate Moses' death. This is also the spot where Moses is said to have viewed the "Land of Canaan".

 

Day Twelve

Experience the beauty of the world-renowned "Pink-Rose City" or the "Lost City," Petra, one of the new seven wonders of the world. Today, embark on a magnificent walking tour through the ancient ruins of Petra, dating back to 300 BC, and marvel at the intricate carvings the Nabateans made from solid rock. Take in the breathtaking view of the Treasury Building (Al-Khazneh) as you walk through the Siq, a narrow passage that opens up to reveal this stunning structure. Explore the Roman Theatre, the Palace of Pharaoh's Daughter, the Carved Roman Theater, the Royal Courts, and the oldest Cathedral of the Bishop's throne. 

 

Day Thirteen

Fly home to the U.S.!
