Day One & Two
Travel to Marseille! Upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour that takes you through the charming city of Marseille, starting with a visit to Notre Dame de la Garde, a beautiful basilica perched on a hilltop with panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean sea. From there, we'll proceed to Fort Saint Jean, a historic fortification dating back to the 17th century, now housing a museum and exhibitions showcasing the rich history of Marseille. After exploring these two landmarks, you'll have some free time to visit the vibrant Vieux-Port, Marseille's old harbor lined with seafood restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops. Get ready for a cultural and historical adventure in this stunning Mediterranean city.
Day Three
This walking tour takes you through the historic city of Arles, exploring its rich cultural heritage and artistic legacy. The first stop on the tour is L'espace Van Gogh, a museum dedicated to the famous post-impressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh who lived and worked in Arles for a year. You'll get a chance to see some of his most famous works and learn about his time in the city. The next stop is the Saint-Trophime Primatial Catholic Church, a magnificent Gothic church with intricate carvings and sculptures dating back to the 12th century. The tour then continues to the stunning Verdon Gorge, a deep canyon carved by the Verdon River with turquoise waters and towering cliffs, offering breathtaking views.
