Day 1 - Depart from the United States

Embark on your journey to Ireland, departing from the United States. Prepare for an exciting adventure filled with rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture.

Day 2 - Early Arrival in Dublin

Arrive early in Dublin, Ireland’s vibrant capital. Begin with a guided walking tour to immerse yourself in the city’s charm. Visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, a 13th-century Gothic masterpiece where Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver’s Travels, once served as dean. Explore its ornate interiors, including the intricate stained-glass windows and historic choir stalls. Next, head to Temple Bar, Dublin’s cultural heart, brimming with traditional Irish pubs, cozy restaurants serving dishes like Irish stew, and boutique shops offering local crafts. In the afternoon, visit Trinity College, Ireland’s oldest university, founded in 1592. Marvel at the stunning architecture of the Long Room in the Old Library, home to the Book of Kells, a 9th-century illuminated manuscript showcasing intricate Celtic artistry.

Day 3 - Travel to Cork with Stops in Kilkenny and Rock of Cashel

Depart Dublin and head south toward Cork, with two enriching stops along the way. First, arrive in Kilkenny, a medieval gem known as the “Marble City” for its local black limestone. Explore Kilkenny Castle, a 12th-century fortress with beautifully restored interiors, including the Long Gallery adorned with vibrant portraits. Stroll through the castle’s 50-acre gardens, featuring manicured lawns and a rose garden.

Continue to the Rock of Cashel, one of Ireland’s most iconic archaeological sites, perched dramatically on a limestone hill. Explore this 12th-century complex, often called “St. Patrick’s Rock” due to its association with Ireland’s patron saint. Highlights include the Romanesque Cormac’s Chapel, with its rare frescoes, the towering Round Tower, and the Gothic Cathedral, offering sweeping views of the Tipperary countryside. Learn about the site’s history as a seat of power for Irish kings and its role in early Christianity. Arrive in Cork, Ireland’s second-largest city, known for its maritime heritage and vibrant food scene.

Day 4 - Blarney Castle and Cliffs of Moher

This morning, visit Blarney Castle, a 15th-century fortress set amidst 60 acres of lush gardens, woodlands, and serene valleys. Climb the narrow spiral staircase to kiss the legendary Blarney Stone, a 330-million-year-old limestone block said to grant the “gift of the gab” for eloquence. The daring kiss requires leaning backward over a high drop, but safety grills and an attendant ensure your safety. Afterward, explore the castle’s battlements for panoramic views and wander the gardens, including the mystical Rock Close with its ancient yew trees and Druidic stone formations.

In the afternoon, travel to the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Travel through the rolling green hills and quaint villages of County Clare, arriving at the cliffs, which soar up to 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean. Walk the cliff-top trails, marveling at views of the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, and the distant Connemara Mountains on clear days. Spot seabirds like puffins and guillemots soaring above the waves.

Day 5 - Kylemore Abbey and Return Toward Dublin

Travel to Kylemore Abbey, a stunning 19th-century estate in the heart of Connemara, built in 1868 by Mitchel Henry as a romantic gift for his wife, Margaret. Tour the ground-floor rooms, including the opulent Welcome Room with its intricate woodwork and the restored Kitchen Scullery, offering a glimpse into Victorian life.

Day 6 - Belfast, Giant’s Causeway, and Titanic Belfast Museum

Travel north to Belfast, Northern Ireland’s dynamic capital, and continue to the Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site along the Antrim Coast. Explore this geological marvel, famed for its 40,000 interlocking basalt columns formed by volcanic activity 60 million years ago. Walk the Causeway Coastal Route, marveling at the hexagonal stones and dramatic cliffs, with legends attributing the site to the giant Finn McCool. Enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Next, return to Belfast to visit the Titanic Belfast Museum, an award-winning attraction located in the Titanic Quarter, where the iconic ship was built. This state-of-the-art museum spans nine interactive galleries, immersing you in the Titanic’s story from its construction at the Harland & Wolff shipyard to its tragic sinking in 1912. Explore full-scale replicas of the ship’s cabins, from opulent first-class suites to modest third-class bunks, and interact with exhibits like the Shipyard Ride, a virtual tour through the bustling shipyard. Stand in the Slipways where Titanic was launched, and visit the Ocean Exploration Centre to learn about modern marine archaeology, including discoveries from the wreck site.

Day 7 - Return to Dublin and Depart

Travel back to Dublin in the morning for your afternoon flight back to the United States. Reflect on an unforgettable journey through Ireland’s history, landscapes, and culture. Welcome home!
