August 21

Departure to Kilimanjaro.

August 22

Arrive late tonight at the Kilimanjaro Airport.

August 23

While at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, you will get an opportunity to visit the Materuni Waterfalls AND the Chagga people. After exploring the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the waterfalls, taking photos and lunch, you will start a 2-hour journey to Arusha. This journey to Arusha will reward you with amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru and beautiful countryside.

August 24

Tarangire National Park is known for its iconic baobab trees and elephant herds. Once you arrive, you will embark on a game drive to spot a variety of wildlife including giraffes, zebras and lions. There will be picnic
lunch surrounded by nature before continuing to explore the park in the afternoon.

August 25

Next up is Lake Manyara . The landscape at lake Manyara National Park is characterized by grasslands, lush forests and the alkaline Lake Manyara which is home to flocks of Flamingoes. The Park is a birders paradise with over 400 species - but it is not all about birds. Most of the action is centered  around Lake Manyara. Expect to encounter elephants baboons among many creatures. There will be picnic lunch before continuing to explore the park.

August 26

Wake up early once again and prepare for journey to the Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival, check-in, take lunch and proceed for the first game drive. The Serengeti is know for its expansive landscape, vast savannahs and amazing wildlife. Millions of zebras and wildebeest traverse the plains during what is known as the great migration in search of greener pastures. The Serengeti is home to elephants, lions and cheetahs just to mention a few.

August 27

This day will be spent the Serengeti plains for a chance to see zebras, wildebeests, lions, topi, waterbucks, genet, hyrax, hippos, serval cats, foxes, elephants, buffaloes, eland, monitor lizards, the aardwolf, mongoose, jackals, Masai giraffes, porcupines, aardvark, Thompson gazelle, Grants gazelle, caracal, hartebeest, cheetahs, leopards, lions and hyenas. The park is home to about 4,000 lions, colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys and the common baboon. Picnic lunch will be in the middle of all the wildlife and amazing savannah. The day ends with a transfer to the lodge close to the Ngorongoro Crater.

August 28

Wake up early, take breakfast and prepare to enter the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the best places to view wildlife in Africa. This crater naturally keeps the animals in one area with a lot to feed on. Look out for wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, zebras, lions, giraffes, hippos, elephants and baboons. If you are a birder, the Ngorongoro Crater is the best places for bird watching. The crater has a large ostrich population. You could even be lucky to spot a mother with chicks.

August 29

Wake up at your own time and prepare to depart to Zanzibar. After arrival in Zanzibar, relax at your hotel nearby the beach.

August 30

A visit to the Zanzibar archipelago is incomplete without a comprehensive tour of Stone Town. Stone Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001 because of its ancient architectural buildings and historical sites. Explore and get real stories of the major historical sites and the importance of Zanzibar to the first Arab, European, Persian and Indian settlers/traders/explorers. By the end of your tour of stone town, you would have visited local markets, the Livingstone house, ancient mosques, churches and the Jaws Corner. You would have also learnt about the islands slave history and role as a trading center connecting to the East African interior.

August 31

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, the driver will transfer you to Kizimbani which is found in west “A” district, about 7 km away from stone town for spices and tropical fruits excursion. This tour will help you understand why Zanzibar is known as the “Spice Island”. The spice Guide will walk with you to the spice plantation farm to discover Spices, seasonal tropical fruits and learn how to harvest some of them. Enjoy the rest of the day taking part in swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing.
