Day Three
Today, enjoy a walking tour of Amsterdam enjoying dikes & polderviews, the famous Gay Street!
Next up is Zaanse Schans which is a residential area in which the 18th and 19th centuries are brought to life. Despite the fact that visitors from all over the world visit this neighborhood every day, it is good to know that people still live here. Keep this in mind during your visit. Stroll past the bakery museum and enjoy the smell of fresh cookies, or take a look at the warehouse where clogs are made. You should be sure not to miss the cheese factory, pewter foundry and the various windmills. The Zaanse Schans is a unique part of the Netherlands, full of wooden houses, mills, barns and workshops. Day Four
Today is Tulip Day! Tulips from Holland are world famous. If you want to see the Dutch tulip fields in bloom, you are traveling at the right time! This is the same period in which the biggest flower park in the world, Keukenhof, opens its doors. Keukenhof is a park where more than 7 million flower bulbs are planted every year. Gardens and four pavilions show a fantastic collection of: tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, orchids, roses, carnations, irises, lilies and many other flowers. You will be overwhelmed by a spectacle of colors and perfumes.
This afternoon, we visit The Hague which is the only big city with a beach directly on the North Sea coast. The city boasts many monuments, chic hotels, and a political heart. The government of Holland is run from the historic Binnenhof and the King’s office palace can be found on the Noordeinde. You can visit beautiful art museums and a day of high-end shopping. The tram will convey you from the city center to Scheveningen and Kijkduin in just twenty minutes, where you can enjoy the sun, beach and sea. (B)
Day Five
This morning we visit the Royal Delft Museum - home of the Delft Blue Pottery. Paintbrushes carefully touch the white earthenware, whilst elsewhere clay is poured into handmade moulds. In this pottery, craftsmen have been creating iconic Delft Blue for almost 400 years. Discover the history, craftsmanship and innovation of this royal museum during your visit. This afternoon, enjoy a walking tour of Rotterdam followed by a boat ride! (B)
Day Six
This morning, we head to Kinderdijk to view the iconic windmills! This afternoon, we head to Het Loo Palace. Stadtholder William III had Het Loo Palace built on the Royal Estate Het Loo as early as 1685. It served as the royal family’s summer residence for a long time, but has been converted into a magnificent museum since 1984. The palace’s decorations alone are worth a visit, and the gardens are absolutely stunning.(B)
Day Seven
Today you visit two beautiful towns in the Netherlands. The picturesque little town of Enkhuizen in the province of North Holland invites thousands of tourists all year round. Many people love Enkhuizen for its numerous historic buildings and monuments, while others love it for its harbor and the perfect water sports opportunities. Enjoy the late afternoon and evening to yourself in Amsterdam. (B)
