Day 1
Travel to the Faroe Islands from Denver.
Day 2
Arrival to the majestic Faroe Islands. Before checking into our hotel in the capital, Torshavn, we will stop at the famous Mulafossur waterfall, a stunning sight where the water cascades directly into the ocean.
Day 3
Today, we will explore Eysturoy Island, starting with a drive through the impressive Eysturoyartunnil tunnel. We will visit the charming village of Gjogv, known for its natural harbor and stunning views. Next, we will explore the quaint village of Saksun, known for its turf-roofed houses and serene lagoon.
Day 4
This morning, you will embark on a boat tour of Vestmanna Island, where you'll see towering cliffs, sea caves, and abundant birdlife, providing a memorable experience of the island’s natural beauty. After, enjoy more sites including Fossa Waterfall.
Day 5
This morning, we will fly from the Faroe Islands to Iceland. After arriving, we will relax at Forest Lagoon, a geothermal spa surrounded by trees.
Day 6
Today, we will explore the natural wonders of northern Iceland, including the impressive Goðafoss waterfall and the unique landscapes around Lake Mývatn. We will continue through the Mývatn geothermal area before visiting the powerful Dettifoss waterfall, returning to Akureyri for the evening.
Day 7
Then we will travel west through northern Iceland, stopping at Glaumbær and the Icelandic Seal Center in Hvammstangi. We will continue to the beautiful Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls before heading into Langjökull Glacier. We will explore the man-made ice tunnel inside the glacier, where we can walk through tunnels and see the glacier from within.
Day 8
Today, we will explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, visiting its picturesque villages, waterfalls, beaches, and coastal landscapes. We will see some of the peninsula’s most famous sights, including Kirkjufell.
Day 9
Our final morning in Iceland will take us to Hvammsvík Hot Springs, where we will have time to relax before continuing to Keflavík Airport for our flight home. Welcome home!
