Day One & Two
Depart for Switzerland! Upon arrival in Switzerland, transfer to your hotel and enjoy some free time near your hotel.
Day Three
Today, we transfer to Grindelwald First Gondola with breathtaking views. The cable car whisks you in three stages from the valley station to Grindelwald-First at 2,168 metres above sea level, a hotspot for connoisseurs and adventurers alike. The summit tempts visitors with breathtaking views of the north face of the Eiger and wonderful hikes. Explore at your own pace!
Coming back to your hotel, stop in Interlaken for time to shop and eat. (B)
Day Four
Today we drive to Gruyeres, a French Swiss city! First we start at the Gruyeres Cheese Factory. Twice a day 36 farmers deliver their milk to the fromagerie (cheese dairy), milk from cows that graze the lush grass and fragrant flora of alpine meadows. Watch the cheese-makers and their team produce make the cheese - they can produce up to 48 wheels of Gruyère a day.
Next, tour Medieval Gruyeres - A picture-perfect medieval town on a small hill with a castle and three totally different museums: In Gruyères, 800-year-old regional history and culture meet Oscar-winning aliens and Buddhist sculptures where you will explore the Chateau.
We then arrive at La Maison Cailler, a wonderful chocolate factory!
Finally, on our drive back we stop in Bern for a walking tour. (B)
Day Five
Today is the Top of Europe Tour - the most popular tourist activity in Switzerland as you make your way up to Jungfraujoch, one of the tallest European peaks. On your way up to the top, enjoy the Trummelbach Falls - Europe's largest subterranean waterfalls and the only underground falls that are easily accessible to the public. Once you reach Jungraujoch, icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Mittelland towards the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four mountainpeaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 11,000 feet above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. Visit some beautiful ice castles as well! (B)
Day Six
This morning, transfer to Zermatt. Your adventure begins with a breathtaking ride on the Gornergrat Railway. Ascend to the Gornergrat summit, where you'll be mesmerized by panoramic views of the Matterhorn and surrounding peaks. This cogwheel railway is an engineering marvel and a gateway to Alpine beauty. After the railway adventure, you'll have time to wander the car-free streets of Zermatt. Immerse yourself in the charming Alpine ambiance, explore local boutiques, and enjoy a cup of Swiss hot chocolate at a cozy café. Transfer back to your hotel. (B)
